written by Professor Vorndam of Colorado State Univ. and
Colorado Community Colleges Online. The kit
includes numerous prepared slides, along with basic
laboratory equipment.
Access to a good quality microscope of at least 400 power
is required to use this laboratory kit. If the

Vorndam
holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies, and has
been employed in the field of biology for over 35 years.
She has worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Natural Resources and
Conservation Service, other government agencies, and in
private industry in R&D and environmental engineering.
She developed and currently teaches 1st and 2nd
semester Biology for Science Majors for CCCOnLine. Her
experience in biological applications has resulted in a
highly appropriate laboratory kit for home use by science
majors.
